MINUTES OF KENYA PROGRESSIVES MEETING
FEBRUARY 18, 2023
The inaugural meeting took place from 7 to 9 pm Kenya Time.
Resolution # 4. ANTI-CORRUPTION ACTION.
Members by unanimous acclamation resolved to create platforms to eradicate corruption in Kenya. These included the 1. Proposed Anti Corruption Walk, 2. Proposed call for a Commission of Inquiry on the Theft of Public Funds 2013-present (this would result in the recovery of Ksh. 1.5 trillion minimum and up to Ksh. 7.5 trillion enough to significantly reduce or even wipe out foreign debt). 3. Reconfiguration of EACC by moving the investigation function from EACC to a revived Anti-Corruption Police Unit, 4. Proposed Citizens Anti Corruption Advisory Council (PACAC) to be the citizens action platform to ensure that corruption is monitored, reported, investigated, prosecuted and punished with stiff jail sentences (no option of fine), the stolen public resources confiscated, and lifetime ban from public office.
