Religion
A forum for thoughtful discussion on religion, theology, philosophy, and belief systems-exploring ideas with respect, depth, and open dialogue.
*Group Quality & Conduct Tier System*
To improve the quality, fairness, and productivity of discussions across our religious debate groups, we have introduced a 3-tier participation system.
This system is not about religion, belief, or ideology. It is based solely on conduct, consistency, and the quality of arguments.
*Aims of This System*
1. Encourage thoughtful, evidence-based discussion
2. Reduce repetitive, low-effort, or disruptive behaviour
3. Help members improve their debating standards
4. Create a more focused and relevant discussion environment
5. Make time spent in the group more efficient for everyone
*Tier 1 – Criteria*
Members in Tier 1:
- Consistently follow group rules
- Present structured, evidence-based arguments
- Engage respectfully, even during strong disagreement
- Cannot send daily posts (including links)
- Avoid spam, mockery, and misrepresentation
*Tier 2 – Criteria*
Members in Tier 2:
- Participate in good faith
- Mostly adhere to group rules
- Present relevant and sincere arguments
- Daily posts are permitted only for regular, active participants
*Tier 3*
Groups 3 and below function as the open groups
*Important Notes*
- Tiers are not permanent, movement up or down is possible based on behaviour and quality.
- Improvement is always encouraged and recognised.
- Moderation decisions are based on patterns of behaviour, not one-off mistakes
- The focus is on growth, not label
All groups, regardless of tier, must follow the general rules. Higher tiers involve stricter enforcement of those rules.
*Group rules and systems can be found in each individual group description.*
