Helping Single Moms ....
This group was set up so regular donors can stay in the loop..so to say.. as to the latest needs and various updates pertaining to the goal of this group-- helping single moms (and an occasional dad).
The moms we help live mostly in Bet Shemesh, as well as some in Yerushalaim, and Beitar. They are all English speaking divorced women with children. They get little or no financial support. They are basically on their own ...and most have no family support ( or family at all..) in Israel or in chu'l. Some women are able to work part time or more (depending on childcare), but their financial situation is never easy, as anyone who lives in EY can understand... I try to help all the women who reach out at least in some way and try not to turn anyone away. I do not look at their bank accounts although I ask them very detailed questions about their financial and life situation and talk to them at length as well as remain in touch... all the time. I try, to the best of my ability, to insure that all situations are legit but at the same I don't want anyone to feel like they are on trial. Their situation is hard enough. I would rather make a mistake, chas v'shalom, than embarrass someone or make them feel like a beggar. I feel such a responsibility to all of you and I daven that Hashem always guides me and alerts me to anyone questionable ..so your hard earned money should always go to people who truly need it...
Every donation goes directly to recipients via BIT, Bank transfer, or CASH. The money is dispersed immediately or ASAP and I absorb all the fees if there are any. There is absolutely no overhead whatsoever and if anyone knows how I could show/ prove that all donations are 100% dispersed without breaking anonymity, please let me know. We only benefit from total transparency.
