About us MAYFO
Youth empowerment and integration are critical issues in Africa, and the Motherland African Youths Foundation MAYFO is committed to addressing them through various initiatives. MAYFO is a non-profit organisation that focuses on promoting youth development and empowerment in Africa.
MAYFO aims to bring together youths from different countries in Africa to foster unity, peace, and collaboration. The Foundation works towards achieving this goal by organising youth forums, workshops, and conferences that provide a platform for young people to discuss and tackle common challenges facing the continent.
One of the key initiatives of MAYFO is to focus on promoting cultural exchange and understanding among young people from different African countries. MAYFO provides opportunities for youths to participate in cultural exchange programs and volunteer projects in African countries. This not only helps to break down negative stereotypes and promote unity but also allows young people to gain new skills, knowledge, and experiences.
Another major initiative of MAYFO is the Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurship Program (YLEP). This program aims to equip young people with the necessary skills and knowledge to become effective leaders and successful entrepreneurs. YLEP offers training and mentorship programs, as well as access to funding and resources for young entrepreneurs in Africa.
MAYFO also works towards advocating for youth-friendly policies and programs at the national and continental level. The Foundation believes that involving young people in decision-making processes is crucial for creating a better future for Africa. They organise advocacy campaigns and engage with policy makers to promote policies that address the needs and concerns of young people. MAYFO conducts research and gathers data on issues affecting youths in Africa, such as unemployment, health, education etc.
