IDF bbq questions jeff seidel. !!
*Frequently Asked Questions*
1. *When are the BBQ’s?*.
It all depends. Every week is different. Our team works tirelessly to try to coordinate with the commanders of different bases but there often no guarantee. As we are at war sometimes even the ‘day of’ we’ve had cancellations. There’s generally no standard schedule when it comes to any given week. We try to aim for 1-2 a week, if possible.
2. *How do I get to the Base?* We provide a means of transportation from Tel Aviv for those interested but volunteers are required to pay towards the cost (100-150nis usually). We meet at Shenkar 2 which is the Selina Beach Hotel. Tel Aviv pick up is the only location. If you want to come by private car then best to be in touch with me directly.
3. *How do I sign up?* Once our staff has secured a location for a BBQ and confirmed with the commander, we will send out a Google Form link to sign up and details of the BBQ. It will be posted on our WhatsApp group chat and it’s first come first serve (unless you are donating towards the cost and we try to give you priority). Once you sign up, it’s still not a guarantee but we try to accommodate everyone, if possible. Generally we take 20 volunteers and anyone who signs up after is added to a waitlist.
4. In general, when you have any questions, best to private message me directly. Please keep in mind that bases have cancelled last minute on us in the past. We are very much at war and any given week chayallim also may or may not know what’s in store for them (which determines if there’s a bbq or not). If you have any more questions feel free to reach out! Thanks! Rabbi Yoni Denitz, Jeff Seidel Center 0534533005
